Police: Yonkers Man Brutally Beaten
Yonkers Police are searching for the person responsible for the brutal beating and robbery of a 29 year old man.
Police say they received a call of a man injured at about 12:25 a.m. July 15. Emergency workers found the victim with two large lacerations to the back of the head which he sustained during the assault and robbery. The unidentified man was transported to an area trauma center where he was admitted in stable condition.
Authorities say the victim had been struck several times over the head with a cane by a Hispanic male, and was robbed of $480 cash, a cell phone and keys.
Police say the suspect fled on foot toward Linden Street.
He's described as a Hispanic male, about 25 years of age, 5'8" tall, 160 pounds, wearing a brown shirt and blue jeans. Anyone with information is urged to call Yonkers Detectives at (914) 377-7724.
